West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during her interaction with media announced that Petrol and diesel prices in West Bengal are set to come down by Re 1 per litre by midnight today.
CCM stated at the scenario of inflated fuel prices, her government would take measures to effectively reduce petrol and diesel prices by Re 1 per litre.
“Since prices have gone up exorbitantly, we have decided to reduce price by Re 1 per litre,” Banerjee said today.
The rising fuel prices have become political, with the Opposition launching an all-out attack targeting the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. The government, for its part, has blamed international factors for the rising prices.
