1ST KHELO INDIA PARA GAMES ANNOUNCED, TO BE HELD IN DECEMBER 2023

The 1 st Khelo India Para Games were announced by Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister
Anurag Singh Thakur. The 1 st edition of the games will be held in New Delhi from 10 th Dec 2023
to 17 th Dec 2023. It is expected that more than 2000 athletes and officials from various states
and union territories of the nation will take part in 7 disciplines including para athletics, para
weightlifting, para football, para archery, para badminton, para table tennis, and para
shooting. On the occasion he said through a video message,” I am proud to announce the first-
ever Khelo India Para Games will be held in various locations across New Delhi. “The event will
be a huge leap forward to develop para sports in the country.
