A total of 2,630 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country so far. Out of the total cases, Maharashtra has reported 797 followed by Delhi with 465, Rajasthan with 236 cases and Kerala with 234 cases. Union Health Ministry said, till now, 995 people have recovered from the infection.
Over 148.67 crore COVID vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. India’s active caseload currently stands at 2,85,401. The active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases and it is currently at 0.81 per cent.
The recovery rate is currently at 97.81 percent. More than 19,000 recoveries in the last 24 hours have increased total recoveries to over 3 crore 43 lakh 41 thousand. A total of 90 thousand 928 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Daily positivity rate is 6.43 per cent. Weekly Positivity Rate is 3.47 per cent. Health Ministry said, 325 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Over 68 crore 38 lakh total tests have been conducted so far. Over 14 lakh tests were conducted yesterday.
