Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Iceland Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir on the sidelines of the 3rd India-Nordic Summit in Oslo, strengthening India-Iceland relations and exploring new avenues for strategic cooperation.

The leaders held discussions across several key sectors including geothermal and renewable energy, fisheries, trade and investment, innovation, digital technologies, the creative economy, Arctic cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.
The meeting also highlighted opportunities emerging from the implementation of the EFTA-TEPA agreement, which is expected to further boost economic engagement and investment prospects between India and the Nordic region.
Apart from bilateral cooperation, both leaders exchanged views on regional and global developments and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties and enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The interaction underscores India’s growing engagement with Nordic nations and its focus on sustainable development, innovation-led partnerships, and expanding international cooperation.
