The Golden Globes 2024 awards are just around the corner and heralding the onset
of the award season with a bang. It has been a successful year for Hollywood films
and entertainment with drama, comedy, and other genres, notably the clash of
Barbienhiemer that grabbed so much attention around the world. Stand-up comedian-
actor Jo Koy is all set to host the star-studded ceremony. He will be taking over the
mantle for the first time, following comedian Jerrod Carmichael, who did the honours
for the show last year.
This is the first Golden Globes ceremony since the Hollywood Foreign Press
Association (HFPA) disbanded in 2023.
Star-Studded List Of Presenters
The presenters, this year include a star-studded list of achievers from the
entertainment world. The names feature Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Yeoh, Dua Lipa,
Angela Bassett, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Annette Bening, Ben Affleck, Mark
Hamill, Kevin Costner, Jonathan Bailey, Orlando Bloom and Will Ferrell among others.
There are some new categories that have been included – ‘Cinematic and Box Office
Achievement’ and ‘Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.’
The event is scheduled for January 07, Sunday. The ceremony will be held at the
Beverly Hilton Hotel, California, USA. You may watch the Golden Globes streaming
exclusively on Lionsgate Play (for Indian viewers). This year, Dick Clark Productions
and Eldridge Industries have the rights to the Golden Globes after the HFPA
disbanded.
