Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday commended three of India’s most senior political leaders—H. D. Deve Gowda, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Sharad Pawar—for their enduring dedication to parliamentary responsibilities, describing their work ethic as a model for others to follow.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, the Prime Minister highlighted the leaders’ decades-long association with legislative proceedings and their continued active participation despite long public careers.
“The manner in which they continue to attend the House with such dedication is truly exemplary,” Modi said, adding that their commitment to parliamentary duties offers valuable lessons for new and younger members.
The Prime Minister’s observations also reinforced the significance of sustained engagement in parliamentary affairs, especially at a time when legislative functioning and debate remain central to governance and policy-making.
