Both leaders expressed concern over the escalating tensions in West Asia, particularly in light of recent attacks on energy infrastructure. Modi described such attacks as “condemnable,” warning that they could trigger avoidable escalation and further destabilize the region.
Highlighting shared priorities, the two sides underscored the importance of ensuring the unhindered transit of goods and energy—critical to global economic stability and regional cooperation.
The Prime Minister also expressed deep appreciation for Jordan’s efforts in facilitating the safe return of Indian nationals stranded in the region amid the ongoing crisis. The gesture reflects the close coordination between the two countries in safeguarding citizens during times of uncertainty.
The conversation comes at a time of heightened geopolitical volatility in West Asia, with global leaders increasingly calling for restraint, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation.
