The International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed that Israel’s Negev nuclear research facility remains unharmed following reports of a missile strike in the city of Dimona.

In an official statement, the agency clarified that it has received no indication of any damage to the sensitive nuclear installation located in the Negev region. The update comes amid heightened tensions in the region and growing international concern over the safety of nuclear infrastructure.
The IAEA further stated that information shared by regional states indicates that no abnormal radiation levels have been detected in or around the area following the incident.
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi emphasized the critical importance of restraint, particularly in conflict zones involving nuclear facilities.
“Maximum military restraint should be observed, in particular in the vicinity of nuclear facilities,” Grossi said, underscoring the potential risks associated with any escalation near such sensitive sites.
The situation continues to be closely monitored by international authorities, as concerns persist over the broader implications of military activity in proximity to nuclear research centers.
