Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday asserted that Bhawanipur has sent a strong signal indicating an imminent political shift in West Bengal. Addressing supporters, he said the growing public sentiment reflects dissatisfaction with the governance of the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

Shah claimed that people across the state have become increasingly frustrated with what he described as violence, corruption, and authoritarian rule. He pointed to the enthusiasm and participation of Bhawanipur residents as evidence of a larger wave of change building across Bengal.

According to him, the mood on the ground suggests that the electorate is ready to embrace a new political direction, making Bhawanipur a symbolic battleground in the evolving political landscape of the state.
