Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha addressed his recent removal as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Deputy Leader in the Upper House, describing the allegations against him as a “scripted campaign” and a “coordinated attack.” In a video statement, Chadha said he chose to speak up because “if a lie is repeated 100 times, some people might believe it.”
मैं बोलना नहीं चाहता था, मगर चुप रहता तो बार-बार दोहराया गया झूठ भी सच लगने लगता।
Three Allegations. Zero Truth.

Chadha responded to three specific allegations made by the AAP leadership, asserting there is “zero truth” to them:
Failure to Join Walkouts – Chadha denied claims that he remained seated during opposition walkouts, labeling it a “blatant lie” and urging critics to verify through CCTV footage of parliamentary proceedings.
Refusing to Sign CEC Motion – He rejected accusations of refusing to sign the impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner, stating no party leader had asked him to sign and pointing out that several other AAP MPs had also not signed.
Parliamentary Conduct – Chadha defended his record in Parliament, emphasizing that his focus has been on raising public issues such as GST, inflation, and unemployment, rather than creating disruptions.
This comes after AAP formally requested the Rajya Sabha Secretariat on April 2, 2026, to replace Chadha with Ashok Mittal as Deputy Leader and to bar him from speaking time under the party quota.
Chadha’s public statement highlights growing tensions within the party and raises questions about internal decision-making ahead of the upcoming political calendar.
