West Bengal Chief Minister and Mamata Banerjee has called for unity and vigilance in a strongly worded message shared on social media, urging people to safeguard the state’s social fabric and welfare initiatives ahead of the elections.

Reflecting on her interactions across regions like Manikchak, Ratua, Malatipur and Gazole, Banerjee highlighted the deep connection she shares with the people, built over years of outreach, support, and delivery of public welfare schemes.
She cautioned voters against what she described as “outsiders,” warning that their entry could threaten key welfare programmes, including financial assistance initiatives for women and families such as the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme. She alleged that similar patterns in other regions have led to the weakening of pro-people policies.
Raising concerns over the electoral process, Banerjee also claimed that names were being removed from voter lists and administrative changes were being made in an attempt to influence the outcome before polling.
Despite these challenges, the Trinamool Congress supremo expressed confidence that the people of the state would uphold Bengal’s inclusive identity—where communities of all religions and backgrounds coexist with mutual respect.
She urged voters to stand united and support party candidates, asserting that the state would respond decisively through the democratic process.
