The WHO chief cautioned that the health consequences of a nuclear incident would be severe and long-lasting, potentially impacting generations. He emphasized that as the conflict intensifies, the risks continue to escalate, raising global concerns about safety and stability in the region.
Calling for urgent action, Dr. Tedros stressed the need for immediate de-escalation, stating that “peace is the best medicine” in preventing a humanitarian and environmental disaster.
