Rahul Gandhi Targets Narendra Modi, Compares Leadership Style to ‘Kingship’ at Keralam Rally

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public rally in Palakkad, accusing him of adopting an authoritarian style of leadership.

Addressing party workers and supporters, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Prime Minister behaves as though he is not just an elected leader but a “king” of the country. He also referred to remarks made by Modi in a past interview, claiming that such statements reflect a disconnect from ground realities.

Extending his criticism to Keralam, Gandhi accused the state’s Chief Minister of exhibiting a similar mindset, alleging that dissent is not tolerated and that opposition voices face intimidation and suppression.

The Congress leader warned that such leadership approaches undermine democratic values, stressing that India’s strength lies in its institutions, public participation, and accountability. He called on citizens to safeguard democracy and resist any attempts to centralise power or silence opposition.

The remarks come amid intensified political campaigning in Keralam, with both national and state-level leadership under sharp scrutiny ahead of key electoral battles.
