French President Emmanuel Macron has welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, describing the development as a “very good thing” amid rising global concerns over regional stability.

The French President’s remarks come as international leaders react to the two-week ceasefire aimed at easing tensions and opening the door for diplomatic engagement. Macron emphasized that the agreement represents a crucial step away from escalation and toward constructive dialogue.
According to reports, Macron also stressed the importance of ensuring that the ceasefire is fully respected and expanded to address broader regional concerns, including stability in neighboring conflict zones.
In addition, France has taken a proactive role in coordinating international efforts to stabilize key global trade routes, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz. Macron noted that multiple countries are working together to facilitate the safe resumption of maritime traffic following the ceasefire.
The ceasefire has been widely viewed as a significant diplomatic breakthrough, with global leaders urging that the temporary pause in hostilities be used as a foundation for long-term peace negotiations.
