Dhurandhar 2 box office day 21: Ranveer Singh’s film sees a dip but surpasses ₹1040 crore globally

Dhurandhar 2 box office collection day 21: Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller has been rewriting box office records since its release on March 19. The film became the first Bollywood title to cross the ₹1000 crore mark in India. However, its pace now appears to be slowing as collections begin to dip.

Box office update

According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 earned ₹7.90 crore on its third Wednesday, marking a noticeable drop from the ₹10 crore it collected on each of the previous two days. This is the first time the film’s daily earnings have fallen into single digits, indicating a slowdown in its third week.

So far, the film’s total India gross stands at ₹1246.67 crore, while the India net collection has reached ₹1041.27 crore.

With new releases arriving this Friday, it remains to be seen how the film performs in its fourth week. Recently, it surpassed the lifetime collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (₹1030.42 crore). The next big benchmark is Pushpa 2: The Rise (₹1234.10 crore), which it may challenge if the momentum sustains.

About the film

Released on March 19 (with paid previews on March 18), Dhurandhar 2 hit theatres in Hindi and multiple South Indian languages. The original film followed Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating gangs in Lyari to dismantle a terror network targeting India, set against major geopolitical events like the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

The sequel explores his transformation into Hamza Ali Mazari and continues the story as he navigates power struggles in Lyari while working to eliminate threats to India. The film also features a gripping face-off between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal.

The ensemble cast includes R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Sanjay Dutt.
