Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) much-anticipated Sankalp Patra for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, outlining a comprehensive roadmap aimed at transforming the state into a “Viksit Bengal.”

Launching the document,
Amit Shah said the Sankalp Patra is designed to offer “renewed hope” to citizens while preserving Bengal’s rich cultural identity. He positioned the manifesto as a decisive shift from what he termed “15 years of crisis” under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s leadership.

Political Messaging
Amit Shah strongly criticized the ruling Trinamool Congress, alleging that fear, corruption, and syndicate culture have taken deep root in the state. He claimed that the BJP has emerged as a “constructive opposition” over the past decade and is now ready to form a “popular government.”
We will have zero tolerance for infiltrators.
The citizens of Bengal are concerned about the state’s identity if infiltration continues.

He emphasized that the manifesto is not just a political document but a “pathway out of despair” for Bengal’s citizens, promising employment, safety, and development.
Invoking the ideals of Rabindranath Tagore, Shah said the BJP aims to build a Bengal “where the mind is without fear and the head is held high,” aligning development with cultural pride.
Vision for Bengal
The BJP’s Sankalp Patra positions itself as a transformative agenda aimed at economic revival, social security, and governance reforms. With a strong focus on welfare schemes and structural policy changes, the party is seeking to make Bengal a key pillar in India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
