PM Narendra Modi Slams TMC in Murshidabad Rally, Raises Sandeshkhali and RG Kar Issues

Addressing a charged public rally in Murshidabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), accusing the state government of shielding criminals and failing to protect women.

Referring to high-profile incidents such as Sandeshkhali and the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital case, the Prime Minister said, “Bengal has not forgotten how ruthlessly the government stood by to shield the rapists.” His remarks come amid heightened political tensions in the state ahead of upcoming electoral battles.

Modi further alleged that West Bengal’s economic growth is lagging behind, stating that “Bengal’s share in the country’s GDP is declining rapidly,” and blamed the current administration for policy failures and lack of industrial progress.

Escalating his attack, the Prime Minister also pointed to corruption allegations, claiming that “crores of rupees are being recovered from the premises of TMC leaders,” suggesting widespread financial irregularities within the ruling party.

The rally in Murshidabad is part of BJP’s intensified campaign in West Bengal, where the party is aiming to expand its political footprint by targeting governance, law and order, and economic issues under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Political analysts believe that the BJP is strategically highlighting sensitive issues like women’s safety and corruption to consolidate voter sentiment in key districts across the state.
