Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai on April 12. A day later, her residence was opened for family, friends, and admirers to pay their final respects. Several celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Kangana Ranaut, and Hema Malini, shared heartfelt tributes on social media.

In a surprising gesture, WWE star and actor John Cena also paid tribute to the late singer by sharing her picture on Instagram. The post, which had no caption, caught the attention of fans, especially in India.

Reacting to the post, many users expressed their admiration for Cena. One user commented, “That’s why John Cena is the greatest of all time,” while another wrote, “Totally unexpected, but love John.” Several fans appreciated the gesture, with comments like “India loves you, John” and “Respect for the respect shown.”

On Monday afternoon, Asha Bhosle’s loved ones gathered at her residence in Lower Parel to pay their respects. Prominent personalities, including Tabu, Sachin Tendulkar, Ranveer Singh, and Riteish Deshmukh, were seen offering condolences to her family. Her casket, adorned with white lilies and draped in the national flag, was later taken for last rites, where she was given a gun salute by the Mumbai Police.

Several film personalities and political leaders, including Vicky Kaushal, Aamir Khan, Jackie Shroff, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, were present at Shivaji Park.

Asha Bhosle remains one of the most celebrated voices in Indian cinema. With a career spanning over eight decades, she recorded songs across multiple languages and received numerous accolades, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

She is remembered for iconic songs such as Dil Cheez Kya Hai, In Aankhon Ki Masti Ke, Yeh Kya Jagah Hai Doston, Jab Bhi Milti Hai, and Justuju Jiski Thi.
