Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday unveiled an ambitious set of “5 Guarantees” for West Bengal while addressing a political rally in Malda, outlining the party’s roadmap focused on welfare, education, healthcare, and employment.

Highlighting Congress’s vision for the state, Gandhi said the proposed guarantees aim to ensure “justice and progress” for all sections of society.

Health:
Security Health insurance coverage up to ₹10 lakh
Free dialysis and cancer treatment at district hospitals
Education:
Free education for students up to graduation
Free education for women up to postgraduate level
Introduction of AI and English education in schools
Farmer’s Honor:
₹15,000 annual financial assistance to farmers
200 units of free electricity
Youth Honor:
Filling of all government vacancies
Guaranteed internships for youth
AI skill development centers at district level
Durga Honor:
₹2,000 per month financial assistance for women
Addressing the gathering, Gandhi emphasized that women’s empowerment, farmer welfare, youth opportunities, and strong public healthcare and education systems form the core of Congress’s agenda in West Bengal.
He urged voters to support the Congress, stating that the party’s policies are aimed at delivering inclusive growth and strengthening social justice across the state.
