Donald Trump Warns Iran of Military Action After Strait of Hormuz Ceasefire Violation Claims

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran following alleged violations in the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz. In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Iranian forces opened fire on vessels, including a French ship and a United Kingdom freighter, breaching a ceasefire understanding.

Trump further stated that U.S. representatives are set to travel to Islamabad for negotiations, signaling a potential diplomatic effort amid escalating tensions. He also alleged that Iran’s move to close the Strait aligns with an ongoing U.S. blockade, claiming the closure could cost Iran up to $500 million daily in economic losses.

Escalating his rhetoric, Trump warned of severe consequences if Iran does not accept what he described as a “fair and reasonable deal.” He threatened large-scale strikes targeting Iran’s infrastructure, including power plants and bridges, stating that the U.S. is prepared to take decisive action if negotiations fail.

The situation has raised global concerns due to the Strait of Hormuz’s critical importance as one of the world’s key oil transit chokepoints, with any disruption potentially impacting global energy markets and international trade.
