It’s Election Day in Tamil Nadu, and the state witnessed a strong turnout from some of its most prominent film personalities, who stepped out early to exercise their democratic right.
Veteran actor and politician Kamal Haasan was seen casting his vote at Alwarpet, accompanied by his daughter Shruti Haasan. Both were seen proudly displaying their inked fingers, symbolising their participation in the democratic process.
In another notable moment, popular actor Ajith Kumar—widely known as “Thala” among fans—arrived early in Thiruvanmiyur to cast his vote. Reports suggest he returned from his motorsport commitments in Belgium specifically to ensure he could take part in the election.
With leading public figures making their presence felt at polling stations, the message from Tamil Nadu remains strong and clear: every vote matters, and participation is key to democracy.
