Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced the reconstitution of NITI Aayog, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of India’s policy-making ecosystem.
In a post on social media, the Prime Minister highlighted that NITI Aayog has evolved into a “vital pillar” in shaping India’s governance framework by promoting cooperative federalism, driving reforms, and enhancing the ‘Ease of Living’ for citizens.

He emphasized that the institution continues to act as a dynamic platform for innovation and long-term strategic thinking across sectors, playing a crucial role in India’s development trajectory.
As part of the reconstitution, Ashok Kumar Lahiri has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog. The Prime Minister extended his best wishes to Lahiri for a successful tenure.
Additionally, several distinguished individuals have been appointed as full-time members, including Rajiv Gauba, K. V. Raju, Gobardhan Das, Abhay Karandikar, and M. Srinivas.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the newly constituted team will contribute significantly to policy innovation and governance, wishing them a productive and impactful tenure ahead.
The reconstitution of NITI Aayog is seen as a strategic step towards strengthening India’s reform agenda and accelerating inclusive growth through collaborative governance.
