Mikel Arteta couldn’t hide his emotions after guiding Arsenal into the UEFA Champions League final, marking the club’s return to Europe’s biggest stage after 20 years.
Calling it an “incredible night”, Arteta emphasized the collective effort behind the achievement.

Alignment, Belief & Hard Work
Reflecting on Arsenal’s European journey, Arteta highlighted the unity within the club.
“We’re so aligned on the desire and ambitions we have for the club. Sometimes you need luck, things have to go your way, but we’ve put so much work, passion and belief into what we do. Today we were rewarded with an incredible day in Budapest.”
Tough Battle Against Atlético
Arteta also praised the challenge posed by Atlético Madrid and their manager Diego Simeone.
“We know how difficult every opponent is at this level. Atleti are an incredible team — the way they compete, the solutions they pose. Diego Simeone has done an outstanding job. The margins are so small, and tonight they went for us.”
