BJP to Form Government in West Bengal: Oath-Taking Ceremony on May 9 at Brigade Parade Ground, Kolkata

In a landmark political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form the new government in West Bengal following its decisive victory in the recently concluded Assembly elections.

State BJP president Samik Bhattacharya on Wednesday announced that the oath-taking ceremony of the new government will be held on May 9.

The grand swearing-in event is scheduled to take place at the iconic Brigade Parade Ground in central Kolkata from 10:00 AM onwards, and is expected to witness the presence of top party leadership, dignitaries, and thousands of supporters.

The BJP’s landslide win marks a historic shift in Bengal’s political landscape, bringing an end to the 15-year rule of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). The transition signals a new chapter in the state’s governance and policy direction.

Party leaders have indicated that elaborate preparations are underway to make the ceremony a large-scale public event, reflecting the significance of the mandate received by the BJP.
