PM Narendra Modi Praises Indian Community in The Hague, Highlights India–Netherlands Partnership and Future Cooperation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared glimpses of his interaction with the Indian community in The Hague during his official visit to the Netherlands, expressing deep appreciation for the warmth, affection, and enthusiasm shown by the diaspora.

Addressing the Indian community programme in The Hague, PM Modi said he was deeply touched by the immense support and emotional connection displayed by the gathering.

“Deeply touched by the immense enthusiasm and affection of the Indian community at the community programme in The Hague. Their energy and connection with India are deeply special,” PM Modi said.

He further highlighted the achievements and contributions of the Indian diaspora, stating that their continued bond with India remains a matter of pride for the nation.

“Delighted to interact with the Indian community in The Hague. Their warmth, achievements and strong bond with India continue to make us proud,” he added.

PM Modi emphasized that the Indian community in the Netherlands acts as a strong and vibrant bridge between the two nations and noted that India’s rich cultural diversity continues to flourish globally.

Speaking on India’s development journey, the Prime Minister stated that the country’s ambitions and efforts are growing at an unprecedented scale.

“Today, India’s aspirations are unlimited and the scale of our efforts is equally immense!” he said.

He also stressed the growing strategic partnership between India and the Netherlands amid evolving global challenges. According to PM Modi, both nations are strengthening cooperation in critical sectors including energy security, water security, and resilient supply chains.

Drawing a symbolic comparison between the tulip and the lotus, PM Modi said:

“The tulip and the lotus remind us that whether roots lie in water or in the soil, with the right nourishment, they blossom. This is also the foundation of the partnership between India and the Netherlands.”

The Prime Minister’s visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation in trade, sustainability, technology, and strategic sectors.
