A. Revanth Reddy Takes Over As Chief Minister Of Telangana

Anamula Revanth Reddy of Congress took oath as the new Chief Minister of the state of Telangana
today following his party’s victory in the recently held state Legislative Assembly elections. The swearing-
in ceremony took place in the afternoon at the expansive LB Stadium. Congress MLA-elect and CLP
leader in the previous Assembly, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister.
Senior Congress party leaders, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and
Deepinder Singh Hooda was present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Revanth Reddy. On X, he said – Congratulations to Sri
Revanth Reddy Garu on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana. I assure all possible support to
further the progress of the state and the welfare of its citizens.
Senior leader, Sachin Pilot has extended his good wishes to the new Chief Minister. Addressing him on X
(Formerly Twitter), he wrote – My best wishes to Shri Revanth Reddy ji on swearing in as Chief Minister
of Telangana. May your leadership bring progress to Telangana and the welfare of the people.

Iron Barricades in front of the Chief Minister’s Office Removed

Iron barricades that had been installed earlier in front of the Chief Minister’s office have been dismantled
and removed. Revanth Reddy had announced during his campaign earlier that he would have them
removed from the front of Pragathi Bhavan (the Chief Minister’s office) after the Congress assumed power.

Congress Party Criticizes BJP for failing to Announce CMs for Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan

Congress has criticized BJP for failing to announce the names of chief ministers in the 3 states of Madhya
Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan where the party has won in the recent Assembly elections. Party
leaders wondered what was causing the delay. Congress General Secretary commented on X – Less than
24 hours after the election results were out on December 3rd, the Congress Party was being criticized in
the media by all and sundry for a so-called ‘delay’ in appointing a CM for Telangana. Well, our CM was
announced a day before and is taking over at 1 pm today. But 3 days have gone by and the BJP has been
unable to even announce its CMs for Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Why is the BJP not
being called out for what is a delay?
