The movie Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to release in theatres. The actors are currently gearing up for the release of their upcoming movie. The film directed by Advait Chandan, based on a Hollywood movie features Aamir and Kareena in key roles. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres during the Independence Day weekend. It is slated to release on August 11. And, Laal Singh Chaddha is also to clash at the box office with Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan.
In the film, Aamir Khan and Naga Chaitanya play soldiers who fight together in the Kargil War. Kareena Kapoor essays the role of Aamir’s love interest and Mona Singh, last seen with Aamir in Raju Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’, where she played the Kareena character’s sister, acts as his screen mother.
Sharing his feelings, just ahead of release,Aamir Khan said, “I am very nervous right now. It’s been 48 hours and I have not slept. I am not joking, I am not able to sleep. My brain is in overdrive, so I read books or play chess online. I will be able to sleep only after August 11.”
Revealing his innermost feelings, he said: “I will finally sleep only after August 11. I think Advait [Chandan, the director], and I will then sleep peacefully and when we wake up, the audience will tell us whether they liked the film or not. We will wake up and discover.”
Earlier,reacting on trolling culture ,Aamir Khan had appealed to people to watch his film in theatres and said, “That boycott Bollywood, boycott Aamir Khan, boycott Laal Singh Chaddha. I feel sad. I feel sad because a lot of people who are saying this in their hearts believe I am someone who doesn’t like India. In their hearts, they believe that, but that’s quite untrue.”
The Lagan star added, “I really love the country. That’s how I am. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way. I want to assure everyone that it’s not the case so please don’t boycott my films. Please watch my films.”
