In connection with the incidence of blast at a busy eating place in Bengaluru yesterday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called a meeting of senior police officers on Saturday.
The explosion took place at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru on Friday.

Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah visited The Rameshwaram Café himself. Reports say 10 people were injured.
Media sources reported that images of the suspect’s movement have been captured by the CCTV cameras. The Rameshwaram Cafe is located in the Brookefield area of Bengaluru.
“We are positive about the leads we are getting in nabbing the culprit,” an official said speaking on the developments of the incident.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday said that yesterday’s blast incident is being investigated from all angles. 7-8 teams have been formed to probe the incident.
Shivakumar also informed that a youth came to The Rameshwaram Café as a customer and had something to eat. He left behind a small bag that exploded after an hour.
“It was a low-intensity blast. A youth came and kept a small bag, which exploded after an hour. About 10 people have received injuries. Several teams have been formed to probe the incident. We are looking at the incident from all angles. I ask every Bangalorean not to worry,” he said.

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has requested Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah not to let his ministers, “especially his deputy [Shivakumar] to push this incident [Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast] under the carpet by saying that it was a cylinder blast”. “This is a serious issue. I would like the Chief Minister not to allow his ministers, especially his Deputy CM’ to try and push this under the carpet by saying it is a cylinder blast…Bengaluru for the country is a very important part of our digital economy strategy. We have to work hard to ensure that Bengaluru remains safe,” Rajeev Chandrasekhar said.
Four people have been detained for questioning in connection with yesterday’s bomb blast.
Investigators of the Central Crime Branch are probing four persons who were picked up from Hubballi, Dharwad, and Bengaluru as per sources.
Bengaluru City Commissioner B Dayananda said investigation into The Rameshwaram Cafe incident was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in which ten people were injured, as it was a working day and lunch hour when the eatery is normally full.
