A new crime-drama series is coming to Netflix called ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.’ This web series, like its name, will reveal the raw history of the notorious criminals of Bihar. In this series, Neeraj Pandey will present a story based on real life incidents of dreaded criminals of Bihar.

Director Neeraj Pandey, who gave Bollywood films like ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Special 26’ and ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, is going to debut in the world of Netflix. Neeraj Pandey is making a new web series titled ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter’. This is a crime-thriller-drama series, which will be released on Netflix. The story of this series will be inspired by the real life story of dreaded criminals of Bihar. For the first part of the series i.e. ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter’, Neeraj has chosen the story of IPS officer Amit Lodha, who takes on the dreaded gangster of Bihar. Neeraj, who has made series like ‘Special Ops’, is sure that this story of law breaker and law protector will be liked by the audience.

The first glimpse of this debut web series of Neeraj Pandey has come to the fore. The makers have released a 54-second making teaser, in which the threat of khaki uniform is seen between bullets and bombs. Neeraj Pandey, director of ‘Baby’ and ‘Naam Shabana’, says he wants to bring to the screen the story of the fight against anarchy that changed Bihar forever.

Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwari, Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan, Anoop Soni, Jatin Sarna, Nikita Dutta, Abhimanyu Singh, Aishwarya Sushmita and Shraddha Das will be seen in lead roles in this cop drama series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. The series is being made under the banner of Friday Storytellers.

Talking about his debut series, Neeraj Pandey says, ‘I am a fan of OTT and Netflix. This is because there are many types of content on this platform and stories of different genres are available. We wanted to make this police and crime series from the heartland of Bihar since the early 2000s. With the help of director Bhav Dhulia and his partner Sheetal Bhatia, we have tried to bring this story alive. The series has been shot in Jharkhand and Bihar during the Covid pandemic.
