The striker opened the scoring at Emirates Stadium after 19 minutes and then clinched the last-four tie with a well-taken finish in the latter stages of the second half.

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said,”I think the performance shows the level of commitment that the players have and the way we competed against this team for many, many minutes,” the boss said. “But after that you need the result and the result is not what we wanted.”.
After the match Liverpool coach Klopp said: “I’m really happy about it [reaching the Final] and the players are over the moon in the dressing room.
It was a difficult game for us and what the boys did against this really good Arsenal side was exceptional. We calmed the crowd down and played really good football.
We scored two wonderful goals and, I have to say, Diogo Jota was on fire! Absolutely outstanding.”
