Jagdeep Dhankhar criticises state government on law and order issues

by Kolkata Today

West Bengal Governor  Jagdeep Dhankhar lashes out at West Bengal government. He questioned why the college’s won’t start despite the schools are announced to be opened on 12th February. He feels it’s unnecessary to close colleges due to Covid 19 situation now, while the school will start for class 9th to 12th.

At a press conference taking a dig at Bengal police on law and order issue, Jagdeep Dhankhar said,” In last couple of Election, we have seen violence. We don’t want to see the violence of panchayat election once again. So I want the Election to take place peacefully. I am repeatedly asking Police to work neutrally and not to involve in Politics”.

West Bengal Chief Minister to announce the budget without the traditional opening speech  of Governor. This time Jagdeep Dhankhar  has said he won’t speak on the event citing government’s fault. He said at the press conference,” I always ask Chief Minister  to inform me about meetings and sessions. But still I am always kept in dark. I have allowed Chief Minister  to announce the budget. There is no democracy here. It’s like a emergency situation in Bengal. I don’t know why government is not allowing Colleges. If school can reopen then why won’t the college”.
