After Union Home Minister Amit Shah called ‘bhaipo’ ‘bharastachari’ from BJP’s Kakdwip rally ,West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee hit back and raised questions on his son Jay Shah’s wealth.

While addressing a booth workers’ meeting at Pailan at South 24-Parganas, Mamata said, “One BJP ‘neta’  came and went to Sagar Island. He accused us of not doing anything for the development of Ganga Sagar. Every day he is challenging me. I would like to challenge Amit Shah, first you contest against Abhishek Banerjee, then think about contesting against me. I would like to challenge him to bring his son in front and let’s have a democratic contest.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday challenged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to contest an election against her nephew Abhishek Banerjee and then think of fighting her. Addressing a party rally in Pailan , Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee  hit out at Shah over his ‘Didi-Bhaipo’ jibes.
Addressing a party rally in Pailan,Mamata  Banerjee said that Abhishek could have taken the easy route of being an MP by choosing to be a Rajya Sabha member but he fought the Lok Sabha election and got the people’s mandate.

BJP leaders, including  Amit Shah, have often accused Banerjee of dynasty politics, alleging that her ‘Bhaipo’ or nephew has received preferential treatment and will eventually be made the chief minister of the state.
“How come your son became a part of the cricket administration and made hundreds of crores of rupees?” Mamata Banerjee said, in a direct attack at Amit Shah.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee exuded confidence that her party will break all records of past elections in the state, get most of the votes and win the highest number of seats in the upcoming polls. “TMC will break all records, get most of the votes and win the highest number of seats in West Bengal election,” said the Chief Minister.
