Ishant Sharma achieve great milestone of playing 100th test. He took one wicket on his 100th test match. Ishant was given guard of honour by the cricketers. He too received a memento for playing 100th test match for the country by President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. He became the second Indian pacer to play 100 test match.
Before the match started, Motera Stadium which was named after Sardar Patel was renamed. The newly renovated Motera stadium to be called Narendra Modi stadium from now. In the innaguration program of the renovated stadium, President Ram Nath Kovind, Union Home minister Amit Shah, Sports minister Kiren Rijiju were present. A sports complex will be built beside the Narendra Modi stadium. Amit Shah said, that Ahmedabad will be known as the sports city of India.
