Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor and her husband Saif Ali Khan names have been
revealed as the owners of the Kolkata team in the Indian Street Premier League
(ISPL) today. Kolkata is the sixth and final team in the lineup of the game. The other
teams are cities like Srinagar, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
Kapoor’s Joyous Insta Declaration
Kareena shared the exciting news on her Instagram account, reminding fans that
cricket is an integral part of the Pataudi family. She wrote on her Instagram, “Cricket,
a tradition we cherish, a love we share…. it runs in the family after all! So thrilled to
announce our ownership of Team Kolkata in the Indian Street Premier League!
It’s a fantastic opportunity for young aspiring cricketers out there and we couldn’t be happier
to be part of this experience! Play to win with Team Kolkata!”
The actor mentioned her father-in-law, the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who was
the former captain of the Indian cricket team and a popular sports personality.
Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, popularly known as Tiger Pataudi, became captain of the
Indian cricket team at the young age of 21.
On Instagram, where Kareena enjoys 11.4 million followers, she shared a Reel, in
which young cricketers were featured playing gully cricket.
Star Owners Of ISPL
ISPL has an impressive, star-studded lineup of team owners. Actor Akshay
Kumar owns the Srinagar team, while the Mumbai team is owned by superstar
Amitabh Bachchan. Bengaluru is owned by Hritik Roshan. Chennai and Hyderabad are
owned by Southern film stars, Suriya and Ram Charan respectively.
About ISPL
ISPL is India’s first tennis ball T10 cricket tournament. The matches will be played
inside a stadium and the tournament will feature 19 matches in all. The ISPL is
scheduled to be held from March 2 to March 9 in Mumbai. It promises to be a great
platform for young aspiring players across the nation.
