Kedarnath Temple opens for pilgrims

The doors of Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand was opened for pilgrims with rituals and vedic chanting on Friday .Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present at the temple to witness the auspicious occassion.State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was present on the occasion. The Portals of Badrinath shrine will open on Sunday.

The Char Dham yatra began on 3rd of this month with the opening of Gangotri and Yamunotri temples on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya.

CM Dhami, through a Twitter post, welcomed the devotees and assured his government would provide safe and secure journey.

A record number of pilgrims are likely to visit Char Dham this year as it is for the first time since 2019 that the yatra has begun without the COVID-induced restrictions in force.
