To propel ‘Advantage Bengal’ further with the aim of enhancing the state’s potential in various sectors,
Bengal Global Business Summit 2023 is being held in the capital city of Kolkata on 21-22 November
- The inaugural session of BGBS 2023 will be held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre on 21
November 23 while the sectoral sessions will take place in Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in the 2-day
event.
The flagship summit of the Government of West Bengal, Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS)
envisions to bring together business delegations, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, academia, experts,
and specialists from the world over with the purpose of making strategic and business alliances. It also
seeks to apprise attendees about the industrial ecosystem and business-friendly initiatives that the state
has to offer.
In the 7th Bengal Global Business Summit, there will be Plenary Sessions, Parallel Global Conferences,
Sectoral sessions for focus sectors, Country sessions with partner countries, and B2B and B2G meetings
to expand networks and meet potential partners.
The focus sectors of this year’s event are Manufacturing and Industries including MSME & Textiles and
Engineering, Plastics, & Chemicals, Infrastructure including Energy, Transport and Urban infrastructure &
Real Estate, Agri and allied industries, Health, Education & Technical Education, Tourism, International
trade & logistics, IT & ITeS, Creative and Inclusive economy.

government’s zero tolerance to strikes, there have been no industrial strikes/lockouts in the state in the
