Chief minister of West Bengal and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee addressed a mega rally at Purulia, just a day after she announced his move to contest the election from Nandigram. TMC MP Satabdi Roy, Malay Ghatak was present in the rally. Mamata Banerjee from the rally said, “Someone tried to import different languages in Purulia, but then the Purulia people protested. Purulia people don’t keep their head down to the outsiders. Purulia was a face of Language protest”.
Speaking on law made for the benefits of Tribal people, Mamata Banerjee added,” Our government has made law for the benefit of tribal people, so that no one can acquire lands of tribal people illegally. We have given acceptance to various local languages here”.
Mamata Banerjee accused BJP of using the media against us. She added,” News channels are showing TMC will lead. But later BJP Heavyweight leaders asked the channels to change the election anticipation polls. So they gave 70 seats to the Left and Congress, to decrease our figure. They are not in Bengal, but just trying to show they exist here”.
