Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid it’s floral tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at his statue in Shyambazar. She went to Netaji Bhavan in the morning. Later joined the program at Shyambazar. After giving floral tribute to Netaji’s statue in his 125th birth anniversary, Mamata Banerjee said,”We all are proud of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad hind. He gave so much to nation. I went to Netaji Bhawan today. Now I came here to pay my tribute. Today we are celebrating the day as Desh Nayak divas. We read in history, Rabindranath Tagore stated Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as Deshnayak. We will remain working hard to give to our Deshnayak”.
“We will make Netaji Subhash University. We have created jai hind bahini. We have created a committee with nobel laureate Amartya Sen, Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee. We have planned to organise various programs on Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary throughout the year”.
