The 10-wicket defeat in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 has set the ground for major changes for the BCCI. Soon these changes will also start appearing in Team India. The biggest change can be done with MS Dhoni.

BCCI Plans For MS Dhoni. The 10-wicket defeat in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 can make a big change for the BCCI. This change will also be seen in Team India. The BCCI has started preparing a new role for MS Dhoni. If sources are to be believed, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, known as Mr. Cool, will soon be seen with Team India’s T20 brigade. This is being done because Mahendra Singh Dhoni had not only made India the champion of the T20 World Cup, but also proved his dominance in the world by winning the ODI World Cup.

What is the planning of BCCI
It is believed that BCCI may give Mahendra Singh Dhoni the post of Director of Cricket for the T20 cricket team. This is because head coach Rahul Dravid is in charge of Test, ODI and T20 teams, which has increased the workload on him. Now BCCI can take the command of T20 from him and give it to Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The BCCI believes that Mahendra Singh Dhoni can be appointed as the Director of Cricket so that Team India can take advantage of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s potential in T20 cricket. If reports are to be believed then this appointment can be stamped in the Apex Council meeting to be held in the last of this month. If this happens, then the Indian T20 team can be re-energized.

Dhoni was associated with the team earlier also
Mahendra Singh Dhoni was associated with Team India during the T20 World Cup 2021 and at that time the team was out of the group stage itself. However, now the situation has changed a lot and BCCI feels that if Dhoni is added to the team then Team India can become invincible in T20 format. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has retired from cricket but he is currently associated with Chennai Super Kings in IPL. It is also believed that the IPL to be held in 2023 will be Dhoni’s last season and after that he can fully join the Indian team.

Effect of Ganguly’s departure visible
After taking over as the President of BCCI, Sourav Ganguly added old veterans Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman to the team. But now the President of BCCI has changed, after which it was believed that Dhoni could return. If sources are to be believed, the BCCI is very keen to rope in MS Dhoni to the team.
