Prominent muslim cleric Abbasuddin Siddique of Hooghly’s Furfura Sharif today floated a new party Indian Secular Front (ISF) and claimed that the Indian Constitution is under threat by higher caste rich parties and that Bengal is also on the downslide.

He said, Bengal’s economic, social and political fabric is jeopardized. Industrial and agriculture prospects are ruined. Unemployment is at its highest level.  He accused all parties of playing `vote-politics’with sectarian views with no attention for amelioration of poverty-stricken population. He said that the education system and morals have been destroyed. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi recently met Siddique. AIMIM is expected to contest 45-55 seats in the upcoming Bengal polls of 2021 from border districts of the state that are aligned to Bihar. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has alleged AIMIM as BJP’s – B team and Owaisi as BJP’s agent in West Bengal. Owaisi has challenged Mamata to prove the allegation.
