Trinamool Congress ropes in Dooars Millat E Islamia workers of North Bengal. On Sunday, couple of members of Millat E Islamia joined Trinamool Congress. They are mainly youths from Jalpaiguri, Cochbehar and Alipurduar. The organisation has strong power in 12 assembly constituencies of Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri. They were handed over the party flags in presence of Trinamool Congress leader Firhad Hakim and former MP of Rajyasabha Ahmed Hasan Imran.
Firhad Hakim said after their joining,” They had come to Trinamool Congress because they want work for the development of West Bengal. All of them want to work for the benifit of people. They all wants to work with Mamata Banerjee. All of them beleives that Bengal will see development in presence of Mamata Banerjee, so they had not joined any front which divides people or create communal division”.
Hakim added further,” Bengal is very peaceful. Mamata Banerjee’s government has kept Bengal peaceful. Mamata Banerjee has done very well in her term. Opponent will never say that Mamata Banerjee is doing well but people of Bengal knows very well. So they will eventually prove that they support Mamata Banerjee”.
