PM Kisan 12th Installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has today released the 12th installment of Rs 16 thousand crore under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022. This amount was released through Direct Benefit Transfer.
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, six thousand rupees are given every year in three equal installments of two thousand rupees each to the eligible farmer families. So far more than two lakh crore rupees have been given to eligible farmer families under PM KISAN. More than 13 thousand farmers and about one thousand five hundred agricultural startups from across the country are participating in the conference. More than one crore farmers from various institutions also virtually joined this program.
12th installment of PM Kisan released
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 12th installment of Rs 16,000 crore to more than 10 crore farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on October 17 today. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme was launched in 2019. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to all the eligible farmer families of the country.
Under this scheme, the installment of PM Kisan is deposited thrice in a financial year. The first installment is released from April to July, the second from August to November and the third from December to March.
Gift of Kisan Samridhi Kendras to the country
Apart from inaugurating the Kisan Sammelan, the Prime Minister has also started 600 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras. Under this scheme, the retail outlets of fertilizers in the country will be converted into Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendras in a phased manner. These centers will cater to the various needs of the farmers. Apart from providing facilities for agricultural inputs, soil, seeds, fertilizers, these centers will create awareness among farmers about these things. Under this scheme, more than three lakh 30 thousand retail fertilizer shops will be converted into Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendras.
