Punjabi singer Alfaaz, who was attacked on Saturday night, is in stable condition after being admitted to a hospital in Mohali, police said on Monday.
The singer was rushed to a private hospital after he was rammed by a tempo at Pal Dhaba in Mohali. SP, Akshdeep Singh Aulakh told ANI, “Day before yesterday, Alfaaz was having dinner at a Dhaba, where a former employee was having an argument with worker Vicky because of some pending dues. The ex-employee Vicky, tried to flee from the dhaba with the owner’s tempo. Alfaaz was standing outside the eatery and the headlights of the tempo were not working properly so he rammed the tempo into the singer, after that he was taken to the hospital and his now his condition is much better. Vicky managed to escape from the location. ”
Fellow Punjabi singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh took to his social media account and shared a picture of the Haye Mera Dil singer from the hospital which he captioned, “My brother @itsaslialfaaz has been attacked last night, Whoever planned this Mo*********er I won`t let u go !! Take my words !! Everyone pls pray for him.”
He later deleted his post from his account. Hours after deleting the post, Yo Yo Honey Singh shared another post, in which he shared Alfaaz’s health update and wrote, “Special thanx to Mohali police who caught the culprits who hit alfaaz with a tempo traveller on the road lastnite @itsaslialfaaz is now out of danger too.”
Punjabi singer Amanjot Singh Panwar, better known as Alfaaz, was hospitalised on Saturday, October 1, after being attacked outside a dhaba in Mohali. According to reports, a vehicle rammed into him. This apparently happened after Alfaaz was asked to mediate an argument between the eatery’s owner and Vicky, a former employee. Popular singer Honey Singh took to Twitter on Sunday, October 2, to reveal that he is “out of danger”.

Alfaaz was born in Chandigarh to Gurjeet Singh Pannu and Paramjit Kaur. He comes from a humble background. The singer once revealed in an interview that he began working in a call center at the age of 12. Alfaaz developed an interest in music because of his girlfriend and penned his first song when he was merely 14. The singer made his debut in 2011 with Haye Mera Dil, which proved to be a big hit.

Alfaaz was seen in the Punjabi film Jatt Airways, which opened in theatres in 2013. The film featured Binnu Dhillon and Tulip Joshi in the lead. It was directed by Harjit Singh Ricky. Jatt Airways was produced by Sumit Goyal and Anil Garg. Alfaaz tried wooing the Hindi audience with his song, Birthday Bash. He shares a strong rapport with Honey Singh. Alfaaz is also a skilled Bhangra dancer.
The singer was injured after a speeding vehicle hit him while he stood at the side of road on Banur Landran highway outside a dhaba. The accused, identified as Vicky, a resident of Raipur Rani, Panchkula, Haryana, has been arrested by Mohali police.
A probe has been launched. As per sources, the singer had gone to a dhaba (local eatery) on Landran Road in Mohali on Saturday night. He got into a fight with the accused after the latter had a showdown with the dhaba owner. The accused, identified as Vishal, was trying to escape when Alfaaz approached his car. The accused and his accomplices allegedly attacked the singer and fled.
