In another jolt to Trinamool Congress ahead of forthcoming assembly election, Bikash Manna, the brother of Trinamool MLA Becharam Manna, a prominent Trinamool face in Singur movements joined BJP in a public meeting at Singur in Hooghly on Saturday with the presence of BJP national vice-president Mukul Roy.
Besides Roy, the BJP MP Locket Chatterjee and others leaders were also present in the meeting. Bikash Manna, the brother of Trinamool’s Haripal MLA Becharam Manna along with several Trinamool supporters joined BJP in the meeting held at a Maidan near Singur railway station. While addressing the meeting, Mukul Roy said that after coming to the power in Bengal, he accompanied by the people in Singur would knock at the prime minister Narendra Modi’s door to bring the Tatas back in Singur. Besides, BJP MP Locket Chatterjee took a dig at “Vaipo”. The meetin was crowded by huge gathering.
