BJP leader Samik Bhattacharya disappointed at Saumitra Khan’s comment on actress Sayani Ghosh. Bhattacharya at a press conference said,”Soumitra Khan’s comment is condemned. I am sorry for his comments. That was not party’s comments. Our party will look in the matter”.
Saumitra Khan, BJP MP of Bishnupur while addressing a rally termed Bengali actresses as prostitutes.His comment made a negative impression of the party as netizens took a dig at the comments on women. Soon BJP leader Samik Bhattacharya came in the field for damage control.
Samik added,” Sri Ram is always in Bengal. There is a area is every block with the name of Ram. Rabindranath Tagore wrote on Ram in his poems. Some people are trying to create politics by the name of Ram. Our party strongly condemn and protest the wrongful will of those partys”.
