Central government has decided to observe 23rd January, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as Parakram Divas. Both state government and Central government are in a race to earn Bengali sentiment in the upcoming birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. In the very year of assembly elections in the West Bengal, Netaji and Swamiji has been a hot topic for political leaders. Though leaving that apart, Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankar has welcomed the decision of central government and wrote on twitter, “A proud moment – a thoughtful and eminently deserving gesture @narendramodi -Government of India to celebrate every year the birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as ‘Parakram Diwas’. To honour and remember Netaji’s indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation”.
