This time, on October 21, Friday, Ekadashi and Dwadashi date coincide. Rama Ekadashi fast will be observed on this day. Tulsi is specially worshiped on Ekadashi Tithi, so on this day Tulsi leaves should not be broken even by forgetting. It is considered a great sin to do so.
Do not break the basil leaves even on 22
According to religious texts, Tulsi leaves should not be broken even on the date of Dwadashi. On Saturday, October 22, till around 6 pm, the Dwadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month will remain, so breaking Tulsi leaves is prohibited on this day also. Trayodashi Tithi will definitely start in the evening but Tulsi should not be touched after sunset, it is written in religious texts.
Sunday 23 October
According to the Puranas, Sunday is related to Lord Suryadev. On this day, Goddess Tulsi fasts for Lord Vishnu, so don’t break Tulsi leaves even after forgetting this attack, otherwise you may have to face some trouble in the near future.
Amavasya on 24 October
The festival of Diwali will be celebrated on this day. That is, this day will be Kartik Amavasya Tithi. Breaking Tulsi leaves is prohibited even on Amavasya Tithi. Doing so incurs the sin of killing Brahma. Therefore, do not pluck Tulsi leaves even on Monday, October 24.
Sutak from morning on 25 October
On the evening of Tuesday, October 25, there will be a solar eclipse, but its Sutak period will start 12 hours before. That is, from the morning of October 25, it will be considered as Sutak period. It is forbidden to touch Tulsi even during the Sutak period.
