India Marks 3rd National Space Day as Space Sector Expands
India is celebrating its third National Space Day, commemorating Chandrayaan’s historic landing near the Moon’s south pole. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighted the rapid expansion of India’s space ecosystem, saying the sector’s opening to private participation has created immense opportunities. He also noted that ISRO’s workload has grown alongside a manifold expansion in its operational capacity, with satellite development, payload manufacturing, applications and launches now being completed much faster and more efficiently.
