Today, July 7, former India captain MS Dhoni, who is still incredibly well-liked across the world, is 41. The long-haired Ranchi lad went on to become one of India’s most successful captains, gaining the nickname “Captain Cool” for maintaining composure under pressure.
The moment when India defeated Sri Lanka in the 2011 World Cup final at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium will always be remembered for the decisive six he hit with his bat.
Dhoni celebrated his birthday when he was currently in the UK. He also travelled to London to attend the ongoing Wimbledon tennis competition.

After then, Dhoni played 350 ODIs for India, scoring 10,773 runs at an average of 50.58, with 10 hundreds and 73 fifty-sevens. Additionally, he played in 90 Test matches and amassed 4,876 runs at an average of 38.09, including six hundreds, a double hundred, and 33 fifty-sevens. He scored 1617 runs at a strike rate of 126.13 in 98 T20Is, including two fifty-sevens.
Dhoni was never again seen playing for India after their loss in the World Cup semifinal, although he still serves as the captain of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. In 2020, he made an international retirement announcement.
A leader like no other. Thanks for everything you have done for Indian cricket. 🇮🇳 You became more like an elder brother for me. Nothing but love and respect always.
