Nitish Kumar sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the eight time on Wednesday with Tejashwi Yadav, who was the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, as his deputy. A simple ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in capital Patna.
After taking oath as Bihar Dy CM, Tejashwi Yadav said ,”Bihar did what country needs to do. We’ve shown them a way. Our fight has been against unemployment. Our CM felt pain of poor and youth. We’ll give bumper jobs within one month to poor and youth, it’ll be something so grand that its never happened before.”
Tejashwi Yadav further criticised BJP .he said “Mahagathbandhan is so strong that BJP would be only one left for opposition in Vidhan Sabha… Difficult decision taken by CM Nitish Kumar is a decision which was needed. Communal tensions were being spread by BJP, they were trying to kill regional parties.”
Earlier, Janta Dal (United) snapped its ties with the BJP paving the way for formation of a new Government with the support of RJD and Congress. The RJD and Congress extended their support to Nitish Kumar to form the Government. The decision to part ways with BJP was taken at the JD (U)’s Legislators Party meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Hindustani Awam Morcha( HAM) also decided to extend unconditional support Nitish Kumar. This decision was taken at party legislators meeting which was chaired by Jitan Ram Manjhi.
